1. WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY PARCEL?
You will receive a handmade item that was lovingly designed and luxuriously crafted in a secure packaging.

You’ll also receive the ultimate comprehensive jewellery care kit at no extra charge. It will contain everything you need to take care of your pieces including:

2. WHAT KIND OF GEMS DO YOU USE?

We use natural raw gemstones for our jewellery, therefore they are naturally uneven and vary in shape. Because gems are one of the beautiful things mother nature created, no two gems will look the same, hence no two pieces of jewellery will look the same, but we aim to pick very similar colour and shape of beads within one pair of earrings.

3. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE PICTURES/VIDEOS OF THE ITEM

If you need to see even more details of the item, please drop us a message and we will reply within 24 hours with some additional pictures from various angles in various lighting situations, so that you have the best opportunity to imagine how the piece would look like in real life.

4. I LIKE THE PIECE, BUT WOULD LIKE TO MAKE CHANGES TO THE SIZE/COLOUR/FLOWER/A SPECIFIC ASPECT OF THE PIECE

We are happy to work with you and customise the piece to your needs. Just let us know what you’d like to change and we will reply within 24 hours to work out how we can implement those changes to create your perfect piece.

Please not that not all aspects of a piece are changeable.

In some occasions additional changing fees might occur.

Personalised or customised items cannot be returned or exchanged.

5. I RECEIVED MY ITEM BUT NOW I DON’T LIKE IT ANYMORE

Don’t worry. We offer returns on your item in original unworn condition for a full refund. Just drop us a message and we will inform you about the next steps.

6. WHY DO THE PRODUCT PHOTOS LOOK DIFFERENT FROM PHOTOS OF THE ITEM THAT I TOOK ON MY PHONE AT HOME

To make sure that our product photos show every important detail, the delicate aspects, vibrant colours and important facts about our pieces, our photos are taken in STUDIO LIGHTING with expensive photo studio equipment, a professional DSLR and high resolution lense.

Please note that the lighting conditions produced in our photo studio are not comparable with natural lighting conditions, as we try to eliminate unnecessary shadows and make the images as crisp and clear as possible, by having various light sources and reflectors. This is so we are able to show as much detail as possible in just one picture, as we are only limited to 10 product photos.

Depending on the lighting that you are in, when you look at your piece, the colours may change slightly, natural shadows might occur and the item might look slightly different in different situations.

7. I AM NOT SURE WHAT SIZE TO ORDER. CAN YOU HELP ME?

8. MY ITEM ARRIVED BROKEN. OH NOOOOO

We take great care in ensuring that the items leave our studio in their best condition and quality, but in rare occasions items can get damaged during transit. If this is the case, please drop us a message and we will inform you about further steps and send you a replacement instantly.

9. OH NO! MY ITEM BROKE WHEN I FIRST WORE IT.
Although we make sure to always check the quality of our items, before we ship them, since every single item is handmade, rarely, but sometimes, human errors can occur. If you find anything wrong with your item, please message us.

10. THERE ARE SO MANY TYPES OF MATERIALS. WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?

We offer gold or silver plated brass pieces, gold vermeil, sterling silver and gold filled pieces. But what’s the difference?

SILVER or GOLD PLATED:
These pieces are made with a base metal (Allie & Posie primarily uses nickel free brass) and a thin gold or silver layer is attached to the surface of the piece through a chemical process, which makes them last longer than just brass pieces.
As plated jewellery only has a thin layer bonded to its surface, it can naturally be scratched or tarnished easily. However, with proper care and jewellery cleaning, plated pieces can last last for a long time.

However due to the thin layer of plating, the pieces will naturally lose their shine and discolour over time. The wear and tear of the piece, as well as moisture, sweat and chemicals from lotions or parfums and possible scratching during storage over a longer amount of time can lead to the plated layer coming off and the brass coming into appearance.

GOLD FILLED:
Similar to gold plated, gold filled jewellery has a brass core, but has a much much thicker real gold plating (most frequently 14k), resulting in a very durable piece. For a piece to be classed as gold filled 1/20 of its weight needs to be made from real gold. With proper care a gold filled piece can last from 10-30 years.

GOLD VERMEIL:
Similar to gold filled pieces, gold vermeil has a base metal core and a real gold plating. However, the base metal in gold vermeil is 925 sterling silver. The thickness of the gold layer has to be 2.5 microns.
Gold vermeil can last for years with proper care and is an affordable choice for long lasting jewellery.

In fact, both gold filled and gold vermeil are more durable than other gold plated options – making both ideal for creating staple necklaces and bracelets for daily wear.

STERLING SILVER:
Sterling silver is an alloy, made of 92.5% pure silver, and 7.5% other alloy (usually copper or zinc). Sterling silver is often known as 925 silver.
As sterling silver is an alloy, it is more durable as the coating of plated silver can wear off with improper care.

One of the biggest differences between silver plated and sterling silver is that tarnishing can be easily cleaned out of sterling silver, but not so easily silver plated.
