My husband finds feathers wherever he goes. They seem like little gifts from our feathered friends. There is so much beauty in a feather and it’s symbolism. If we could only be as light as a feather in thought and action, I feel we would all have a much easier existence on this planet. I started fabricating an organic 14k yellow gold ring by melting and forging gold. It naturally began to take the shape of a feather and that’s where I went. I let the metal tell me what to do. I hand carved fine lines that have a shine to them which makes them stand out against the matte finish.
