These Western Tanager studs are inspired by one of the most vibrant birds in the Western hemisphere with their scarlet head feathers, coal black wings, and electric yellow bodies. This original design is digitally illustrated and etched on cherry wood, then delicately hand-painted in hues of yellow, vermillion, white, dark brown, and charcoal. Super lightweight and one-of-a-kind, these studs make a great gift for birders and are mini works of art for your ears!

These earrings feature hypoallergenic 316 surgical stainless steel studs with butterfly backs. The fronts are sealed with a semi-gloss varnish for protection and durability. The back is unstained and unsealed cherry wood.

Each piece of my jewelry is painted by hand so no two are exactly alike. I try to photograph and color-correct so that each piece represented as true-to-life as possible. Please allow for small variations in color and tiny imperfections which are a sign of any hand-made item and make each piece one-of-a-kind. All items are made with high-quality, American-sourced cherry wood. The wood tone and grain may vary from the photograph due to natural (and desirable!) variations in the wood. All paint is sealed with a non-toxic, oil-based enamel which protects the paint from fading and chipping.

Due to the handmade nature of my wooden jewelry, store in a safe place and avoid exposure to water.

My jewelry is packaged and shipped in 100% compostable plastic-free padded mailers. Every item comes in a kraft gift box with cotton padding.
