Description
30mm diameter pendant and 45cm stainless steel chain assembled by me with the inclusion of a real 3D photopolymer hologram of a pyramid produced in the 90s by the American company Krystal holographics. Three-dimensional and depth effect assured, one could almost see behind the pyramid, the hologram is better visible in the sun or under single-vision light with an appropriate angle.
A major art during the 70s-80s-90s, holography has since fallen slightly into disuse. This process, invented by the Hungarian Denis Gabor in 1948 (Nobel Prize in Physics in 1971), allows the image of an object to be recorded in 3D using the interference of laser light reflected by an object on a high-resolution photographic plate, allowing the image of the object to be recorded in 3 dimensions depending on the viewing angles.
Although we still find small holograms on banknotes, credit cards and certain luxury products today, it is rare to come across this type of hologram, especially in the form of a pendant, which is now highly prized by collectors.
