Elegant star anise hair stick, perfect to make a cute messy bun with or an elegant hairdo. I just started making hair sticks. I didn’t understand the point of them before. I thought you needed some kind of super hair for them to stay put. Then a friend showed me how to use them, and now they are my favorite type of jewelry.

I sculpted the anise petal by petal and attached them together to make a slightly bigger and cleaner looking seed pod than a natural one. The star anise is sculpted from bronze and the stick is forged from stainless steel. It is shaped to a hook and submerged inside the bronze when cast, this makes for a super durable design. The bronze is protected with jewelers lacquer. I can make the stick any length. If you are unsure of what length is god for you, use a pointy chopstick to put your hair up and measure how much of the stick is needed.
